Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge

Thousands of wild, pristine, bayous distinguished by ‘cheniers’. These ancient formations composed of sand and shell fragments allow for woodland vegitation not normally associated with the coastal plain providing shelter and a great diversity of wildlife habitat.
